The Beginning
UNA is a romantic and refined Spanish restaurant that invites diners on a journey into the heart of Spain through authentic, contemporary cuisine. Originally established at One Rochester, UNA found its permanent home at The Alkaff Mansion in 2019.
Housed at Level 2 of the historic mansion, UNA pays homage to the age-old heritage of Spanish gastronomy with an innovative and contemporary menu that marries authentic signature delicacies from different regions of Spain, from the sun-drenched coast of Valencia to the rugged Basque Country.
Our restaurant has returned with its signature offerings including suckling pig, a selection of paellas, and Spanish grills, while embracing a renewed emphasis on Basque cuisine under the guidance of our culinary team.
The Setting
Built in 1918 by Syed Mohammed bin Abdul Rahman Alkaff, The Alkaff Mansion is a historic and distinctive European-style mansion perched elegantly on top of Telok Blangah Hill. The Alkaffs were a family of great traders whose ancestors arrived in Singapore from Yemen in 1852.
In the 1930s, the mansion became known for hosting lavish high-society parties. After decades of transformation, the mansion was beautifully restored and reopened to the public in 2019 under the stewardship of 1-Group.
Today, UNA occupies Level 2 with its restored timber interiors, soaring ceilings, dark wooden beams, and an impressive chandelier that descends to the ground floor, creating an ambiance reminiscent of Spain's rolling Basque hills.

Executive Chef
With six years of experience working in kitchens across Spain, Chef Tom Kung brings an authentic understanding of Spanish culinary traditions to UNA. His hands-on approach and deep respect for regional ingredients define the restaurant's character.
Culinary Advisor
A Michelin-starred chef and head of the acclaimed Hofmann Restaurant in Spain, Chef Diego Grimberg serves as UNA's Culinary Advisor, bringing world-class expertise and refinement to our evolving menu.
